Season Checklist for Parents
To ensure your player is fully prepared for the upcoming season, please review the equipment and uniform guidelines below. Items not supplied by Santa Fe Little League must be provided by the parent or guardian.
Glove
Players must provide their own glove. Choose one that is soft, flexible, and sized to allow room for growth over multiple seasons.
CleatsCleats are mandatory for all divisions. They provide essential traction and safety on the field. (Note: Metal cleats are only permitted in approved upper divisions.)
BatPlayers may bring their own bat or share with teammates. All bats must meet Little League’s bat standards. Please refer to the league’s Bat Rule Standards page before purchasing.
HelmetEach player must provide their own batting helmet for safety and hygiene purposes.
Batting Gloves (Optional)Not required, but helpful for improving grip and reducing sting from contact hits.
Protective GearAll players—including tee-ball—are required to wear appropriate athletic supporters during practices and games.
UniformsSanta Fe Little League provides each player with a hat, jersey, belt, and socks. Parents must purchase game pants separately. Please wait until your team assignment is announced, as coaches often select a uniform style and color for the team.
Catchers’ GearEach team will be issued appropriately sized catchers’ equipment, and players may use their own personal gear if they prefer. Team managers will be required to submit a deposit for the league-issued catchers’ gear. The deposit will be refunded at the end of the season once all equipment is returned in good condition, allowing for normal wear and tear.
Water BottlePlayers must bring a water bottle for hydration during practices and games. Please label all personal items.
Equipment Bag (Optional)
A bat or equipment bag is not required but can help players stay organized and keep their gear contained in the dugout.
