COVID-19 GUIDELINES

T-BALL DIVISION (3 YEAR OLDS)

The Tee-Ball Division is Santa Fe Little League's introductory division, comprised of 3 year-old first-time players (league age 4) who haven’t played organized baseball before. The T-Ball division is instructional for all players with a heavy focus on learning the basics of baseball, including fielding, throwing, running, and batting off a tee. There will not be tryouts held for this division, all players will be drafted to a team. No score is kept for this division.

COACH PITCH DIVISION (4-5 YEAR OLDS)

The Coach pitch division is the introductory, educational, and instructional division and is comprised of eligible players ages 4 to 5 (league age 5 & 6) who were registered prior to try-outs and were drafted to a team. The Coach Pitch division is instructional for all players with a heavy focus on learning the basics of fielding, throwing, and hitting pitches received from one of their coaches. Every player that wants to be considered for the draft must attend tryouts and demonstrate a proficiency of skill commensurate with the level of Little League competition.

Coach pitch this season will only allow 96 players to register in this division then all others will be waitlisted. Please visit our tab above "Waitlist Policy" for details and an explanation of the waitlist.

MACHINE PITCH DIVISION ( 6-7 YEAR OLDS)

The Machine Pitch division is a competitive division comprised of eligible players ages 6 to 8 (league age 7 & 8) who were registered prior to try-outs and were drafted to a team. All players that want to be considered for the draft must attend tryouts. This division is to focus on learning the skills and knowledge of the game.

Machine pitch this season will only allow 96 players to register in this division then all others will be waitlisted. Please visit our tab above "Waitlist Policy" for details and an explanation of the waitlist.

Minors Division (8-9 year olds)

The minors division is comprised of eligible players ages 8 to 9 (league age 9 & 10) who were registered prior to try-outs and were drafted to a team. This division is a combination of competition and instructional for players and is a stepping stone to Majors. All players that want to be considered for the minors draft must attend tryouts and demonstrate a proficiency of skill commensurate with the level of Little League competition.

INTERMEDIATE 50/70 DIVISION (10-12 YEAR OLDS)

The Intermediate 50/70 division is competitive and is comprised of eligible players ages 10 to 12 (league age 11, 12, & 13) who were registered prior to try-outs and were drafted to a team. All players that want to be considered for the Intermediate 50/70 draft must attend tryouts, be evaluated and demonstrate a proficiency of skill commensurate with the highest level of Little League competition. Intermediate 50/70 is a division utilizing a 50-foot pitching distance and 70-foot base paths.

JUNIORS DIVISION (13-14 YEAR OLDS)

The Junior League Baseball Division is competitive and is comprised of eligible players ages 12-13 (league age 13 & 14) who were registered prior to try-outs and were drafted to a team. All players that want to be considered for the Juniors draft must attend tryouts and demonstrate a proficiency of skill commensurate with the highest level of Little League competition. This division will travel locally within Galveston County for games and practice will be held at Jack Brooks Park located in Hitchcock, Texas.

SENIORS DIVISION (14-15 YEARS OLD)

The Senior League Baseball Division is competitive and is comprised of eligible players ages 14-15 (league age 15 & 16) who were registered prior to try-outs and were drafted to a team. All players that want to be considered for the Seniors draft must attend tryouts and demonstrate a proficiency of skill commensurate with the highest level of Little League competition. This division will travel locally within Galveston County for games and practice will be held at Jack Brooks Park located in Hitchcock, Texas.

Children will be placed on teams and in divisions based upon their “League Age” and assessments. League age is determined by an age chart provided by Little League International.
